19-year-old stabbed in the back during street fight
“A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the back during a fight in Midtown on Sunday night, police said.
The attack happened near the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 38th Street around 8:30 p.m.
As the men fought, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the lower back. He then fled the scene.
The injured man was taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made. Police said it’s unclear why the men were fighting.”
This is why you have to be aggressive and relentless – you never know, in a street encounter, when your opponent (or their friends) will decide its time to bring a knife to a fist fight. Or a gun.

Always assume your opponent is armed. Assume they have friends who are armed. Changes your perspective a bit on when its appropriate to fight, doesn’t it?
